My research area is ergodic theory and probability theory. In particular, I am interested in intermittent maps from a probabilistic viewpoint. Intermittent maps are non-uniformly expanding interval maps with indifferent fixed points, and they have been studied as toy models for intermittent phenomena in statistical physics. I am working on their long-time behavior, for example, the distributional scaling limit of the amount of time they spend near an indifferent fixed point.
