My research area is Differential geometry and Geometric analysis, in particular sub-Riemannian geometry and related fields. Sub-Riemannian manifold is, roughly speaking, a Riemannian manifold with fractal singularity. This may sound a weird space, however, it appears naturally in the context of research on hypoelliptic operators and geometric group theory, and also has applications to neuroscience. My research is to study geodesics and curvature on such spaces using optimal control/transport theory. Recently, I'm particularly interested in their connection with infinite-dimensional spaces and probability theory.
