Notice on copyright transfer (April 01, 2022)

In order to meet recent public demands for electronic access to academic resources, we have opened our journal, Osaka Journal of Mathematics (OJM), on line to the public through the platform for electronic publication "Project Euclid" (https://projecteuclid.org/euclid.ojm). All the published issues are available on the above site. For this reason, the editorial board of OJM is asking all the authors whose papers are newly accepted or have been already published on OJM to transfer the copyright of his/her articles to the Departments of Mathematics of Osaka University and Osaka Metropolitan University (DMOUOMU). Now we further intend to upload pdf files of the two predecessors of OJM: Osaka Mathematical Journal (OMJ), on the Web site of Project Euclid; Journal of the Institute of Polytechnics, Osaka City University, Ser. A, Mathematics, and Journal of Mathematics, Osaka Metropolitan University, on the Web site of Osaka City University Repository (https://dlisv03.media.osaka-cu.ac.jp/il/meta_pub/engG0000438repository). We ask therefore the same as above also to the authors of these journals. More precisely, we are asking authors to agree the following four items:

1. DMOUOMU have the rights to reproduce, translate to any language and transmit to the public the whole article or any part of it for academic purposes.

2. The author(s) retains the right to keep the article on servers approved by DMOUOMU and/or on the author's own Web sites in its published form for academic purposes, provided that the author(s) acknowledges that it was published in OJM or its predecessors.

3. Upon request of the author(s), DMOUOMU may grant the author(s), free of charge, the right to publish the article or its revision for publication with academic value, including the complete works of the author(s), provided that the author(s) acknowledges that it was published in OJM or its predecessors.

4. Upon request of a third party with intention of publication for academic purposes, DMOUOMU may permit them to use the rights described in the item 1.

As for the concrete process of the agreement, we are taking the following procedures:

1. To the author whose articles are newly accepted, we are sending a form of agreement to be signed and sent back as promptly as possible.

2. To the author whose articles were published in or after 2001, we have already sent a form of agreement to be signed and sent back by the 31st of March, 2006. We would like the author who has not sent any message up to the present to understand that we regard the agreement above have been made as of the first of April, 2006.

3. As for the author whose articles were published before 2001, we would like the author to generously understand that the agreement above has been made as of the first of July, 2006, unless any notice of disagreement has not been sent to us up to the present.

4. If we receive any message of disagreement, we are ready to cancel the copyright agreement and take a process to withdraw the paper from the Web site of Project Euclid or from the Web site of Osaka City University Repository.

We would highly appreciate your cooperation for academic promotion of OJM. If you have any question or message, please feel free to contact us at the following address:
